Refra is entering a new stage of its development following the signing of an agreement under which Beijer Ref Group will acquire 90 percent of the company’s shares. Headquartered in Malmö, Sweden, Beijer Ref is a global refrigeration and HVAC group with approximately 7 000 employees and more than 150 subsidiaries across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and Oceania.
Refra is contributing to a major new development in the European foodservice sector — the construction of a 44 129 m² depot in London. The facility is designed to become a showcase of efficiency, capacity and service in the UK. To meet its demanding refrigeration requirements, the project incorporates Refra’s advanced CO2 refrigeration systems, supporting sustainable and energy-efficient operation.

The CO2 Light was first created in 2021 but has since undergone further testing and development to become a standard product with guaranteed performance parameters, according to the manufacturer.

Customers often face challenges in managing unit control as standard control programs have limited functionality.
