Description

Vertical gas coolers, designed for small to medium transcritical CO2 systems, offer efficient heat rejection in high-pressure applications. With heat rejection capacity up to 500 kW under nominal conditions (Tin 115 °C, Tout 33 °C, Tamb 35 °C, pressure 91.7 bar), they deliver a compact and reliable solution for commercial and light industrial environments focused on natural refrigerants and green cooling.

The vertical frame design is ideal for installations with limited floor space or where upward airflow is preferred. It supports better air circulation in narrow spaces, simplifies service access, and allows for space-efficient integration — including rooftop or side-wall installations in confined technical areas.

Each unit is built with 7.94 × 0.54 mm inner-grooved copper tubes, aluminum or copper fins, and EC fan motors, ensuring stable and efficient thermal performance even in demanding conditions. The galvanized steel frame is powder-coated for enhanced corrosion resistance and long-term durability in outdoor environments.

To further protect coil surfaces and maintain performance, Refra gas coolers can be coated with Aqua Aero anti-corrosion coating. This hydrophobic layer prevents contaminant buildup, minimizes airside fouling, and extends equipment lifespan — ensuring efficiency and reliability over time.
